I’m away for a few days so my brother is going to step in with a few songs until Monday. He’s six years older than me and is basically where I got most of my music taste. So don’t be alarmed. And enjoy the tunes.
One of my favorite micro genres is the teenage tragedy song. Little vignettes of heartbreak and sorrow, they usually involve a boy, a motorcycle race, and a fateful night. They are over the top in the most perfect teenage way. One of the greats is The Shangri-Las I Can Never Go Home Anymore. So get a tissue to wipe that mascara off your check, and remember to always downshift on dead-mans-curve.
Thanks for listening,
Mike
