Unwound - "New Plastic Ideas"

I’ve been doing this a while (47 Days) and it’s a lot of fun. But the whole idea has always been about sharing music, thoughts, words, stories.

So, I’m going to keep the sharing mentality going by having some friends pop on here and there. Maybe every Friday (maybe not), to share a song and some words about why they like it.

First up is my bud Tyler who helped inspire this whole thing in the first place.

Last summer I texted Will to tell him that I bought us tickets to see Unwound’s reunion tour in March of 2023. I didn’t ask first or even fully know if he was a fan. I guess I just kind of had a hunch.

Im probably down to go but i cant even think about March of next year lol

Which was definitely fair.

How can you possibly know what you’ll be doing nearly a year later?

What if I need to be somewhere more important on March 11th, 2023? Will I still like Unwound? Was it just a phase? What if the show gets cancelled? What if they get cancelled? What will my life look like then? Will I even be alive?

Well, we’re in the future now, and I have some of the answers.

I still love Unwound, and I can’t wait to see them perform any song off New Plastic Ideas, but especially the opening track “Entirely Different Matters”
